As DoorDash’s grocery delivery arm continues to grow, the company is looking to regional and specialty grocers for partnerships.
Since the start of this year, DoorDash has entered tie-ups with Ahold Delhaize USA banners — Food Lion, Giant Food, The Giant Company, Hannaford and Stop & Shop — as well as H Mart, all of which are available on DashPass, DoorDash’s membership program.
DoorDash’s expanded partnership with regional grocer Wegmans builds on its existing offering of on-demand delivery for hot and fresh-made meals from Wegmans Meals2Go, according to the press release.
To kick off the expanded offerings, DoorDash customers for a limited time can receive 40% off eligible orders totaling $50 or more at participating Wegmans stores.
The e-commerce company is also introducing four new regional grocery partners on its marketplace.
All 11 Kowalski’s stores, located in the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area, are now available on DoorDash’s marketplace, offering naturally raised meats, locally sourced produce and specialty products.
Mar-Val Food Stores’ nine locations across rural California and Geissler’s Supermarket’s seven stores in Connecticut and Massachusetts, both family-owned grocers, have also joined.
In the coming weeks, Miami-Dade, grocer Milam’s Markets’ six locations will be available on DoorDash’s marketplace.
All newly added Wegmans stores and DoorDash’s new regional grocery partners will be available on DashPass, which waives delivery fees for members on eligible orders.
