DHL Supply Chain is shuttering a plant in Sturtevant, Wisconsin, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice dated Aug. 27.
The plant closure is slated for Feb. 28, 2025, and will impact 32 employees, per the notice. Affected employees include forklift operators, a planning and analysis manager and operations supervisors.
A DHL Supply Chain spokesperson attributed the closure to a customer decision to restructure its distribution channels, and the company will work with the impacted team members to provide resources and assistance during the transition.
DHL Supply Chain has made several network changes due to changing customer needs over the last year. Starting Nov. 10, a DHL Supply Chain facility in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, is slated to close, impacting nearly 170 employees. Roughly the same number of employees at a facility in Indiana were also laid off in August.
