HealthTrust Performance Group, a healthcare performance optimization and group purchasing organization, appointed Guy Wagner as SVP of strategic sourcing, according to a July 31 press release.
In his new role, Wagner will manage the strategic sourcing and distribution of GPO products and services for surgery, nursing, laboratory, wound care, anesthesia and respiratory care, according to the press release. He will also oversee administration of the company’s Supply Chain Board and Clinical Advisory Boards.
Wagner joined the company in 2014 and previously served as VP of strategic sourcing for commercial products and services.

A group purchasing organization, HealthTrust helps healthcare providers customize supplier contracts using sourcing tools such as clinical and spend analytics technology to improve procurement operations, according to the company’s website.
