If the supply chain conference Manifest Vegas 2024 was summed up in a one word, “technology” would be top contender.

Technology proved to be more than a buzzword as executives across the industry shared how their companies are leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning to tighten and optimize operations. In Schneider Electric’s case, AI and machine learning resolved maintenance issues and saved hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Other technology such as warehouse automation has also indirectly helped drive employee retention and productivity — another big topic. In fact, DHL Supply Chain found that sites equipped with autonomous solutions had less turnover than those without.

While this barely scratches the surface of the experiences shared during the conference, here’s some of what we learned at Manifest Vegas 2024.
