Mars is partnering with rapid delivery provider Gopuff to deliver free candy across the U.S. on Halloween night, according to a news release earlier this month.
The promotion, called the "M&M'S Halloween Rescue Squad," starts at 3 p.m. Eastern time on Oct. 31 and will be available wherever Gopuff delivers in the U.S. The promotion is poised to drive more order volume to Gopuff as the company adjusts to challenging market conditions for delivery startups.
Gopuff's delivery partners will pick up orders directly from Gopuff fulfillment centers and deliver the candy in under an hour while supplies last, a Mars representative said in an email.
Orders can be placed on the promotion's website. Shoppers can choose between M&M’S Fun Size Milk Chocolate Candy, M&M’S Peanut Milk Chocolate Candies Fun Size and a Mars Chocolate & Fruity Favorites Variety Mix for free online order and delivery, according to the representative.
Once the offering runs out of stock, shoppers can still place paid orders on the website for regular Gopuff delivery, the representative added.
