Sugar-free beverage maker Zevia tapped former Monster Energy executive Bill Williamson to be its SVP of operations and chief supply chain officer, the company announced Aug. 8.
Williamson will lead Zevia’s operations, supply chain optimization and information technology and will report to CEO Amy Taylor.
Williamson has over 25 years of supply chain and operations experience in the CPG industry. Prior to his new role, Williamson also held positions at Pabst Brewing Company, Sam’s Club and CHEP.
“We are thrilled to welcome Bill to the Zevia team to lead our supply chain transformation,” Taylor said in a statement. “He is a CPG veteran with a proven track record in beverage and decades of broad functional experience encompassing manufacturing, finance, distribution and retail.”
The leadership change is part of Zevia’s supply chain transformation plan after logistics challenges impacted fulfillment operations in Q2, according to an earnings presentation earlier this week. Zevia also reported increases in freight and warehouses rates, according to an earnings statement.
“We have since implemented certain measures designed to address these challenges and restore service levels, including changes in supply chain leadership and pausing certain actions of our supply chain transition, and we currently expect to resolve these challenges by the end of 2023,” the company said in a June 30 10-Q filing.
