Will Kerr, Co-Founder and current President at Edge Logistics will now be CEO of the organization. Barnett is joining Edge with a diverse range of experiences at a number of growth-minded organizations. Beginning with his experience at AFN Logistics, now integrated into the GlobalTranz family of companies, where he quickly rose to the position of President, Barnett has spent his career guiding leading transportation companies to reach their maximum potential. Armed with the first-hand industry knowledge gained during his tenure with AFN, Barnett joined CS Recruiting as President in February of 2016.

While at CS Recruiting, a Chicago-based recruiting agency focused on providing transportation companies with top industry talent, Barnett continued to hone his industry knowledge while developing an appreciation for the importance of collaboration within the transportation and supply chain management sectors.

With years of experience at the highest levels of leadership at a number of leading companies across the transportation industry, Barnett took on the joint tasks of Chief Operational Officer and Chief Strategy Officer at Arrive Logistics in 2017.

During his three years with Arrive, a leading provider of transportation industry solutions, Barnett oversaw exponential growth in revenue, and further established himself as an expert in helping transportation companies achieve their highest ambitions. With experience at the highest levels of leadership both inside and outside of the transportation industry, Barnett is thrilled to bring his trademark growth-minded, client-first mentality to Edge Logistics.

During his tenure with Edge Logistics, Barnett hopes to grow the company’s revenue to $500 million, a goal he sees as accomplishable through a combined emphasis on growth and service, while also working to maintain the workplace satisfaction that has come to define Edge Logistics’ sterling reputation as a top-employer of logistics professionals in cities throughout the global supply chain. While the push toward $500 million will require as-yet-unknown changes at Edge Logistics, Barnett is sure not to prescribe one-size-fits-all solutions in a dynamic logistics environment. “There is no prescription,” says Barnett, “Growth creates change, and that change, if worked out correctly, will create opportunities.”
